Yuki Rin's parents died, leaving her to rely on her older brother Koichiro, an IT engineer for the government. One year ago, Koichiro was recruited by a cybercrime group. Rin survived a gunshot from Koichiro and joined FACE, a secretive cyber crime investigation unit created by the Cabinet. Rin's profiling ability led Minegishi Shugoro to recommend her. Despite initial hesitations, Rin joined the team to combat cyber crime and its effects on national stability.
