The plot follows a young Mumbai artist named Sunny who, after closing down his family's newspaper, repurposes his printing press to stamp counterfeit banknotes. The criminal venture turns out to be surprisingly successful and brings a lot of income, until one day it attracts the attention of the authorities. The protagonist is hunted by anti-fraud specialist Michael Vedanayagam and his assistant Mega Vyas. Things get even more complicated when India's biggest counterfeiter, Mansoor Dalal, takes an interest in Sunny's work, playing him a deadly game of cat and mouse.
