The Plot
In the era preceding Christopher Columbus' fateful foray into the vast unknown of the New World, an untold multitude of Native Americans had lived and thrived, building thriving civilizations and cultures of staggering complexity and nuance. However, with the arrival of the intrepid explorer and his cohort of colonizers, the already tenuous balance of power was violently upended, unleashing a catastrophic sequence of events that would forever alter the course of human history.
With the influx of foreign invaders came a wave of virulent diseases, for which the Native Americans had no natural immunity. This brutal onslaught decimated entire communities, leaving death and destruction in its wake. As the surviving tribes struggled to adapt to this new reality, the resources they depended on for survival became increasingly scarce and bitterly contested, leading to a spate of brutal conflicts that reverberated across the continent.
