Storyline

In a distant past, spanning countless ages before Bilbo Baggins, a diminutive hobbit of the Shire, chanced upon the mystical ring of power and, subsequently, his nephew Frodo brought about its ultimate destruction to quell the malevolence of Sauron, a time of tranquility reigned supreme.

After vanquishing the duplicitous Morgoth, the harbinger of evil, a sense of banishment pervaded the land. That is the prevailing sentiment held by the majority of the diverse denizens that call Middle-earth, the setting of J.R.R. Tolkien's epic "The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power," their home. Yet, there is one exception to this seemingly unanimous belief, the elven lady Galadriel. She, who has suffered the loss of her brother in the fierce battles that were waged, is not swayed by the illusion of harmony that cloaks the world. Her unwavering conviction and steely resolve compel her to embark on a mission to vanquish the nefarious forces of darkness, once and for all. To that end, she seeks out Sauron, the former servant of Morgoth, who is considered to be an omnipresent danger to the peace and prosperity of their realm.

Contrarily, her confidante, Elrond, a half-elf, espouses a less cynical perspective, a fact that triggers Galadriel to abandon her tireless quest for answers. Yet, fate intervenes, and a fateful incident forces the two to alter their course drastically.

When will The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 be released?

Upcoming season will consist of 8 total episodes, that will be released live from Amazon Video. First episode starts on October 11, 2024. TV Series episodes will premiere weekly on Fridays. More detailed schedule provided below.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2nd cast: Who is returning?

Some new characters can also appear in the second season of the TV Series. Galadriel role will take Morfydd Clark and Arondir role will be played by actor Ismael Cruz Córdova. You should also totally expect to see Charlie Vickers (Halbrand), Marigold Brandyfoot will play a Sara Zwangobani, Isildur role will play a Maxim Baldry, Pharazôn role will be played by actor Trystan Gravelle, Markella Kavenagh as Elanor "Nori" Brandyfoot, star Leon Wadham will be playing Kemen, The Stranger role will be played by actor Daniel Weyman and Tyroe Muhafidin as Theo.
