What is The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel about?
Miriam Meisel is an ordinary housewife whose husband wants to become a famous comedian. Luck smiled at him until his wife discovered he had stolen Bob Newhart's idea. Miriam was disappointed in him, but this was just the beginning of her troubles. One night, Joel confessed to her that he was having an affair with another woman and was leaving the family. She sought support from loved ones but received only criticism. Under the influence of alcohol, she took to the stage at one of the bars where her husband once performed and told the audience about her experiences and feelings with humor and sarcasm. The viewers enjoyed her sketch, and Miriam realized that she had a talent for comedy.
