Plot
In India, it is believed that there is a lower world - the underworld, or Paatal Lok - where deities abandoned to the mercy of fate are at war with the heavenly gods.
Police Inspector Hathiram Chaudhary, a cynical and tired Delhi cop with nothing to look forward to in his career, dreams of a quick retirement. But one day, he is faced with a case that will change his life forever: four suspects have been caught trying to kill a journalist. What at first appears to be an ordinary case turns out to be extremely confusing, and the investigation takes the inspector to the realm of the underworld - Paatal Lok - where the shocking truth about the suspects' past is revealed.
